Hello, My name is Conner Smith and I'm a sports journalist. Covering sports has always been a passion of mine, and I've been doing it for about three years now.

I originally started working for my local newspaper the summer before my freshman year at MTSU. I absolutely loved it, I then quickly got involved in student media at MT. I joined Sidelines and started writing about various sports.

​

I wasn't involved as much as I would've liked so Going into my Sophomore year I started working even harder. Not only was I doing Sidelines, I also began covering high school sports, and started a podcast with a good friend.

​

I became obsessed with the grind and then started looking into internships and I found one in the Cape Cod Baseball League. I got the summer job as beat writer for the Cotuit Kettleers.

As I go on and further my career my aspirations are to work in ESPN covering MLB baseball and college football.
